Our Audiologists

Michelle Ash

“Although I am both a qualified Audiologist and Speech Therapist, I deregistered as a Speech Therapist 18 years ago to specialise and pursue my passion as an Audiologist. I am also registered with SAAA – South African Association of Audiologists. I have over 25 years experience accumulated from Baragwaneth Hospital, Rand Mutual Hospital, De Beers and 18 years in private practice.

Although I’m qualified to assess and treat hearing loss – I prefer to think of myself as an ‘expert’ in getting people connected both back into the world they live in, and to others. When clients tell how they can watch movies again, play music again, have long conversations with their grandchildren over the telephone or Skype, when couples talk to each other again, eat out in a restaurant with friends again – it gives me such joy to know that I’ve been a part of that and that I’ve made a difference to someone – I’ve added quality to someone’s life on a daily basis! That’s what I love about my job!”
